Just the other day my Dad was telling us a story of a lady who in an attempt to bleach her skin turned herself into a disgusting hot mess. She became the laughing stock of everyone in her office just like that, just for a lighter skin. Sometimes In one of my numerous thinking sessions I just ask myself why anyone would want to change themselves into what they’re not like for real I find such people highly insecure! I know the secular world is not helping issues though especially now that most artistes are dating “oyinbo-ish” girls but still apart from the fact that you risk having cancer ( light-skinned people have a higher chance of having cancer) and also damaging yourself in the process why not develop a little self-love and confidence in your self? Personally (and this is not just because I’m dark skinned), I don’t think I’ll ever get attracted to a light skinned guy. Its not like I hate them but I don’t just get attracted to people who are not dark (keyword is dark not black! lol). This world is turning people into things they’re not; people getting surgery so they can have a bigger butt or bigger boobs or a curvier body and so on. I even heard of a lady who died from butt enlargement injections and I was like “people take injections to increase their butt??!” “What???!!” Common sense should tell you that you’re messing with your hormones na!! So please sisters learn to love yourself, whether you’re light, dark or black love yourself! Stop being so insecure and I know so many people argue this with Me a lot but I believe that everyone is beautiful, you don’t need to bleach to impress a guy infact you shouldn’t change any body part for any guy because whoever is gonna love you is gonna love you for who you are not what you look like. Even the BIBLE says that beauty is vain so work on being a better you.. Bleach your character and your heart (Lol)!! Lastly, do you know that white people constantly tan their skin and go under the sun just to get a darker complexion? And your bleaching your skin to become whiter? What an Irony! Just love you cause if you don’t love yourself your gonna be constantly changing yourself to suit other people’s definition of what is beautiful and what’s not.. You are perfect, GOD doesn’t ever make mistakes!
